Overview
Review a single patient's recent communication activity without leaving their chart, using the Past Communications section on the Patient Info page. Use it to confirm whether a reminder, text, or email went out recently and whether the patient responded.
Before you begin
- Access to the Patient info page (everyone).
Steps
- Go to the Patient page and search the patient you want to review.
- On the Patient Info page, look for the Past Communications section, which shows recent communication history for that patient.
- If you don't see it, click the Customize Sections icon near the top of the patient page, make sure Past Communications is turned on, then click Done.
- Open the Past Communications section. It can be expanded or collapsed, so click it if you need to open it.
- Use the day range selector in the section header to choose how much recent history to view: 30 days, 60 days, or 90 days.
- Review the communication entries. Each row shows the recipient (phone number or email address), the Sent date, the patient's response (if any), and the Responded date (if the patient replied).
- Hover over the info icon next to an entry to view the actual message content that was sent.
- Use this section to quickly confirm whether a patient received a reminder or other outreach, where it was sent, whether the patient responded, and when that response happened.

Troubleshooting
- If you need broader filtering, exporting, or communication reporting across many patients, then use Communication History from the Home dashboard instead — the Past Communications section is patient-specific and meant for quick review inside the chart.
