Overview
This article helps you upload a document into Practice Inbox. You may need this when a file was received outside the fax or email pipeline and needs to be worked in the inbox.
Before you begin
- You need the file on your computer.
- You need to know which inbox should receive the file.
Steps
- Click Inbox.
- Click Upload.
- Select an inbox in Select an Inbox.
- Turn on Split this upload if you want the system to create multiple documents from one file.
- Select the page interval if you turned on Split this upload.
- Drag the file into the upload area or click the upload area to choose a file.
- Review the file list.
- Click Upload.
- Wait for the upload and document creation to finish.
Troubleshooting
- If Upload is disabled, then select an inbox first.
- If the upload fails, then check the file type and file size.
- If you see a file type error, then use a PDF, PNG, JPG, JPEG, or TIFF file.
- If you see a file size error, then reduce the file to under 200MB.
- If you see a file count error, then upload no more than 15 files at one time.
