Set Workflow Execution Rules

Overview

This article helps you control how a workflow runs after it is triggered. You may need this when the workflow should run automatically, wait for approval, or stay disabled.

Before you begin

  • You need an existing workflow draft or saved workflow.

Steps

  1. Click Config.
  2. Click Intelligence.
  3. Click Workflows.
  4. Open the workflow you want to update.
  5. Go to the section that asks how actions should be executed.
  6. Select Execute all actions if the workflow should run every action in order.
  7. Select Follow my instructions if the workflow needs custom execution guidance.
  8. Enter instructions in the text box if you selected Follow my instructions.
  9. Go to the section that asks how the workflow should be executed when triggered.
  10. Select Require approval to executeExecute automatically, or Disabled.
  11. Click I Agree - Enable Workflow if the consent dialog appears.
  12. Click Save Workflow.

Troubleshooting

  • If a consent dialog appears, then review it and click I Agree - Enable Workflow to continue.
  • If the workflow should not run yet, then select Disabled and save.
