Add a New Organization

Overview

Common reasons to add one: your client has multiple legal entities, different locations belong to different organizations, eligibility/billing/payer workflows need the correct organization-level Tax ID or NPI, or you want locations tied to the correct organization for downstream setup and reporting. (If your account only has one true business entity, you may not need multiple organizations.)

Before you begin

  • Access to Config > System Settings > Organizations.

Add the organization

  1. Go to Config > System Settings > Organizations.
  2. Click + Add Organization.
  3. In the setup window, enter the core details:
    • Organization name
    • Tax ID
    • NPI
    • Phone
    • Street address 1
    • Street address 2
    • City
    • State
    • Zip Code
  4. Make sure Organization name is completed — it's the only required field, but the other details matter if the organization will be used in eligibility, billing, or location setup.
  5. Click Create organization.
  6. Confirm the new organization appears in the Organizations list.

Connect locations to the organization

After creating the organization, tie the correct locations to it:

  1. Go to Config > Operational Setup > Locations.
  2. Edit the location you want to connect.
  3. Choose the correct Organization in the location setup.
  4. Save the location.

Troubleshooting

  • If eligibility or billing workflows aren't using the right details, then confirm the organization's Tax ID and NPI are filled in and that the correct Organization is selected on each location.
  • If you need to change organization details later, then edit it any time from the Organizations screen.
