Overview

Update an existing user's information, roles, or security settings from Configuration > General > Users. Role changes take effect after the user is saved.

Before you begin

  • Access to Config > Organization Settings >  Users.

Steps

  1. Go to Config > Organization Settings >  Users.
  2. Open the Users tab.
  3. Find the user you want to update — scroll through the list, or use the search bar to search by name or email.
  4. Open the user's Actions menu.
  5. Click Edit.
  6. Update the user information as needed. Depending on the user, this may include Name, Email, Mobile Phone, Resource, and Roles.
  7. If needed, review the user's security section. For existing users, this area may show Authenticator App status and let an admin Reset MFA if the user has lost access to their authenticator.
  8. Click Save User.

Troubleshooting

  • If some external system fields can't be edited, then the user is likely tied to the EHR — those fields may already be populated and aren't editable the same way as for a manually created user.
  • If a role change doesn't seem to apply, then confirm you clicked Save User — role changes take effect only after saving.
