Overview
This article helps you send a Practice Inbox document to the electronic health record (EHR). You may need this after you confirm the patient, document type, and filing details.
Before you begin
- The document must have a patient assigned.
- The document must have a document type assigned.
- Some document types may require a document title.
- Some document types may require an EHR assignee.
Steps
- Click Inbox.
- Open the document.
- Click the Document tab.
- Click Add to EHR.
- Review the patient, folder, and date details.
- Enter a value in Document Name if the field is required.
- Enter a value in Description if needed.
- Choose an assignee if the document type requires one.
- Set the review option if it appears.
- Leave archive on if you want the document removed from pending work after import.
- Submit the import.
Troubleshooting
- If Add to EHR is disabled, then assign a patient and a document type first.
- If the import cannot continue because the file is too large, then use Compress Document or download the file for manual filing.
- If you see an import in progress warning, then wait for the current import attempt to finish.
