Calvient Chrome Extension: How To and What It Does
The Calvient Chrome extension ("your Calvient sidekick") sits beside any payer portal and handles the busywork of prior authorizations.
What It Does
- One-click copy — Every auth field, ready to paste into the portal. Fast and error-free.
- AI Suggest — Answers clinical questionnaires with references to the patient chart.
- Scan — Reads the portal page and updates the authorization for you.
- Screenshots — Capture the page and attach it straight to the task in Calvient.
Installation
1. Get it from Calvient
- Log in to Calvient.
- Click your initials in the lower-left corner (they're in a circle).
- Choose Get the Chrome Extension — a new tab opens in your browser.
2. Add it to Chrome
- The Chrome Web Store opens on the Calvient Prior Authorization Wizard.
- Click Get on the listing.
- When Chrome asks, click Add extension.
3. Pin it
- Click the puzzle-piece icon in your Chrome toolbar.
- Find Calvient Prior Authorization Wizard in the list.
- Click the pin — now it's always one click away.
4. Sign in — no password needed
- Open the extension; you'll be asked to log in.
- Click Sign in with Calvient — no retyping your username or password.
- Click Authorize and you're in.
Using the Extension
Start from your tasklist
- Open your tasklist in Calvient and choose a task.
- Click Open Website on the authorization card.
- You land in the payer portal you need to work out of.
Your task follows you
Open the extension inside the portal — Calvient has already pulled the task you were working on.
One-click copy, zero typos
- Every field on the service request and authorization also lives in the extension.
- Click the copy icon beside any field, then paste it into the portal.
- Filling in payer portals becomes easy and error-free.
Suggest: AI help with questionnaires
- Click Suggest on the task card when you hit a clinical questionnaire.
- The AI scans the page you're on and references the order, service request, insurance, and patient chart.
- Every answer comes with a chart reference — so you know it's correct.
- Open jumps to the full task in Calvient.
Keep auth details current
- Edit any authorization field with the pencil icon.
- Or click Scan on the submission or approved screen — the extension reads the page and updates itself.
- Insurance lives here too, including secondary insurance when the patient has it.
More tricks in the menu
Click the menu in the upper-right corner of the extension:
- Open Calvient — jump to calvient.com in another tab.
- Switch to light mode — pick the look that suits you.
- Attach Screenshot to Task — saved to the task; a great reference during submission and approval.
