Calvient Chrome Extension: How To and What It Does

The Calvient Chrome extension ("your Calvient sidekick") sits beside any payer portal and handles the busywork of prior authorizations.

What It Does

  • One-click copy — Every auth field, ready to paste into the portal. Fast and error-free.
  • AI Suggest — Answers clinical questionnaires with references to the patient chart.
  • Scan — Reads the portal page and updates the authorization for you.
  • Screenshots — Capture the page and attach it straight to the task in Calvient.

Installation

1. Get it from Calvient

  1. Log in to Calvient.
  2. Click your initials in the lower-left corner (they're in a circle).
  3. Choose Get the Chrome Extension — a new tab opens in your browser.

2. Add it to Chrome

  1. The Chrome Web Store opens on the Calvient Prior Authorization Wizard.
  2. Click Get on the listing.
  3. When Chrome asks, click Add extension.

3. Pin it

  1. Click the puzzle-piece icon in your Chrome toolbar.
  2. Find Calvient Prior Authorization Wizard in the list.
  3. Click the pin — now it's always one click away.

4. Sign in — no password needed

  1. Open the extension; you'll be asked to log in.
  2. Click Sign in with Calvient — no retyping your username or password.
  3. Click Authorize and you're in.

Using the Extension

Start from your tasklist

  1. Open your tasklist in Calvient and choose a task.
  2. Click Open Website on the authorization card.
  3. You land in the payer portal you need to work out of.

Your task follows you

Open the extension inside the portal — Calvient has already pulled the task you were working on.

One-click copy, zero typos

  • Every field on the service request and authorization also lives in the extension.
  • Click the copy icon beside any field, then paste it into the portal.
  • Filling in payer portals becomes easy and error-free.

Suggest: AI help with questionnaires

  • Click Suggest on the task card when you hit a clinical questionnaire.
  • The AI scans the page you're on and references the order, service request, insurance, and patient chart.
  • Every answer comes with a chart reference — so you know it's correct.
  • Open jumps to the full task in Calvient.

Keep auth details current

  • Edit any authorization field with the pencil icon.
  • Or click Scan on the submission or approved screen — the extension reads the page and updates itself.
  • Insurance lives here too, including secondary insurance when the patient has it.

More tricks in the menu

Click the menu in the upper-right corner of the extension:

  • Open Calvient — jump to calvient.com in another tab.
  • Switch to light mode — pick the look that suits you.
  • Attach Screenshot to Task — saved to the task; a great reference during submission and approval.
